This is Jess from jesshuff.com. In this video, I’ll show you how to embroider eyebrows for your amigurumi project.

For this tutorial, you will need:

  • (4) Straight pins
  • (2) 12-inch (18cm) Strands of yarn
  • Yarn needle
  • Scissors

Using straight pins, mark the top and bottom corners of each eyebrow. Adjust as necessary until you’re happy with the placement.

Thread one strand of yarn through a yarn needle. Insert the needle into the bottom corner of the left eyebrow. Exit the needle through the top corner of the same eyebrow.

Remove the yarn needle and adjust the strands of yarn so the ends are an even length. Minding the tension of the yarn, fasten off with a double knot. If you pull the strand of yarn too tight, the eyebrow will disappear.

Thread the yarn tails through a yarn needle. Insert the needle into the bottom corner of the eyebrow and exit the needle through the back of the head.

Gently pull on the yarn tails so the double knot under the eyebrow disappears inside the work.

Maintaining light tension, cut the yarn tails flush with the surface of the work so the remaining yarn tails disappear inside the head. Repeat this process for the other side.

Your amigurumi looks surprised that you were able to give it such cute eyebrows. If you found this video helpful, please hit the thumbs up button.
