I was skeptical about making my own dowel, but the instructions were so clear. I have done many patterns by Jess, and I love that you can take concepts from one, such as attaching ears or limbs as you go rather than sewing them on, and apply them to any of the other patterns. I have greatly improved my crochet skills just by doing her patterns. They’re the ones I get the most compliments on.
